Hey,
I just bought some Hik cameras and intend to mount one of them on a wall of my house, which has a stone façade. The surface is uneven and has gaps and ridges – see pic.
Does anyone have any good ideas how to best solve it?

I think the best way is to try to just mount it on top put any shims needed to keep it stable and seal it with macroflex, EVA foam or silicone around.
Not sure about Hik but I have Milesight cams and they have a foam backing so provided you mount the box in the middle of the tile the foam should help even things out. Any other gaps add a bead of silicone over just the top half of the box should help keep water out.
@xerob @taylormattzom thanks guys, I will give it a try!
Whilst it might be a bit of a pain, you can try evening out the surface slightly and put the cables through. It is not ideal but you can still do it (that's what I did for my up above the door-frame camera).
