I think DS-7216HQHI-K2/P is a PoC DVR isnt?
Regardless, it looks like a power supply issue - perhaps the cameras are not suitable and require more power than the recorder can feed?
Thanks Xerob! Sorry, yes, that is what I mean - PoC DVR ... jsut really tired of trying to solve the issue for the last few hours!
How do I find out the power required vs suppled?
I've sort called it a day by now... but how will try tmrew.
I was also wondering if this may have something to do with faulty cables? Should I try using shorter cables?
I would check the power specs first to eliminate this as a problem. If this does not work, then check the cables!
LOL. this is not an NVR is it? I don't think analgue dvrs can be poe! Poe stands for power over ethernet and dvrs use coax!
Hello,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this questions, but it looks that my recorder POE stopped working (all of them at once). I unplugged the device temporarily as I had to move it to a different part of the room and when I plugged it back it, the device power is on but the cameras are all off.
I tried to speak to Hikvision technical support but they were not able to help me with (nor were really willing to do so), but they suggested that the POE has been disabled (whatever that means).
Any help would be welcome
Marina
Hi
We've never encounters this issue before - given that nothing's changed in between 'before' and 'after' the POE should be working just fine.
One thing that you may wish to check whether POEs are enabled. To do so log into the NVR via browser, then clock configuration and camera management:
Let us know if this helps.
